Zayn Malik Still Tries to "Impress" Fiancée Perrie Edwards—Watch Now!

During the final exclusive sit-down for our one week of One Direction, singer Zayn Malik told Jason Kennedy during E! News' interview how he's keeping the romance alive with fiancée Perrie Edwards and that he's making sure to stay in shape for their big day.

"I do try to impress her still, I do try to do a bit of exercise," Malik told us. "I don't want to completely let myself go."

All together now—awww!

Zayn, along with his One Direction band mates, just wrapped their world tour, but the 20-year-old celeb tells E! News that it's not necessarily all bad to get away from the girls' screams for a bit.

"Sometimes it's quite refreshing to get a bit of time to just kinda chill and do your own thing. And we like to do just normal things when we're backstage, we just play video games and stuff like that."

What about the idea that Zayn had a "harder" time adjusting to fame, according to his lady Edwards? "I don't think it's necessarily I have a 'harder' time with it," Malik tells E! News.

"It's just something that took a bit of time for me to get my head around, which obviously is normal for anybody, I guess. It's not something that is a normal thing to be doing. So it took a bit of time for me to get used to it, but I am used to it now and it's fun. I'm having fun with it, so it's all good."

If you can manage to watch E! News' interview with Liam Payne without becoming completely distracted by his handsome looks, you'll end up learning some very fun facts about his One Direction band mates.

The 20-year-old stud dished the deets on Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson when he sat down with Jason Kennedy and participated in a little speed round game during an exclusive sit-down earlier today.

But before we go there, Payne talked about the boys being on break after a lengthy tour. "I think we've just got a couple of months off, which is the longest vacation we've had in the history of One Direction," he tells us.

"There's a next record to be written so I guess we're gonna try to do a little bit of that when we can, but most of the time just slob about and eat rubbish food, play Playstation."

And you would never know Liam eats "rubbish food" since he's in such great shape and also shows off impressive abs from time to time. Even he doesn't know how he got so lucky."I don't know how it works," he admits. "I got back and I ate nonstop, just terrible food, I just haven't put any weight on which is ace. Love it."

Must be nice, Liam. Must be nice.

Anyway, on to the fun part—the game! Kennedy asked Liam a series of questions in hopes that the young star would dish the dirt on his pals. And he did. So what did we find out?

Who's the biggest flirt? "Harry Styles. Or actually maybe Niall Horan, sometimes. He's a bit of a dark horse. You don't expect it but then you see it and you're like, 'oh, OK.'"

Who's always late? "Zayn. Zayn and Louis, lately, but Zayn has always never been a good timekeeper. But it's one of those things when you go into something and you're open that you're late all the time…it's expected. But when I'm late, it's a big deal. I get told off for it and stuff."

Who spends the most time on their hair:"Um, to be fair, I think when we get to work, I'm the only one person who's ever done his hair. So probably me, to be honest with you, cause the other lads just come in with their hair all over the place, whereas I leave the house looking sharp."

Who's the messiest? "Louis, 100 percent. If we're on the tour bus, we usually have a back lounge, and the back lounge is just full of his clothes and shoes, just random stuff everywhere. He's so messy, I can't live like that. I have to know where everything is."

Who works out the most? "Probably me. Yeah, I spend a lot of time at the gym. Haven't recently. I haven't been in about two weeks, so it's making me a bit sluggish. I need to get back in there."

On Friday, Nov. 1, the One Direction boy-bander—along with Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, naturally—met up with the "Dark Horse" singer in Tokyo. All the guys seemed happy to pose for pics with the brunette beauty, but it was Niall who was clearly head over heels!

The 20-year-old Irish cutie Instagrammed a selfie with Katy cuddled up to him, cheek-to-cheek, writing, "she said yes ! It's happening! Haha."

He then posted a shot of the 29-year-old pop star surrounded by all five 1D boys, captioning the precious pic, "Me and my groomsmen and my lovely wife hahahaha."

You never know, Niall, you just never know. Katy was also excited to meet Niall—and Harry, Liam, Louis and Zayn. "Today could not be a better day," she tweeted. "I get to hang with @pamyurin [a Japanese artist] & @onedirection on MUSIC STATION in TOKYO!"

It's been a good week for K.P., actually. Her album Prism debuted at no. 1 on Billboard Top 200 and become the biggest record by a pop female in 2013. "For that I say THANK YOU," she tweeted. "I hope you are enjoying all the colors #PRISM has to offer. I promise to continue to give back...Tour next year… And so many opportunities to be a light very soon. Your love & support for the music means the world to me. X."

One Direction Chime in on Miley Cyrus ("Interesting") and Taylor Swift ("She Needs to Leave Niall Alone")

Let's just say, the lads of One Direction maintained a sense of humor about everything they witnessed on the MTV Video Music Awards stage this past weekend.

Talking to E! News last night at the NYC premiere of their 3-D documentary One Direction: This Is Us, they were asked what immediately came to mind when they thought of Miley Cyrus' VMAs performance.

"Twerk!" offered Liam Payne. And then they all just started talking at once. 

Harry Styles and the boys speak freely when asked about Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift. See their candid replies!

"I wouldn't like to comment on this," Liam reconsidered.

"It was interesting," Harry Styles said dryly. "You're trying to get us to say something, and I thought it was a lovely, played-down performance."

"It was a lovely rendition of that song," added Louis Tomlinson, though it's unclear which was lovelier in his opinion, "We Can't Stop" or "Blurred Lines."

"It was graceful," Liam said. "Different," Zayn Malik got in on it. "Although I did like Robin Thicke's suit, that was a cool suit," Liam chimed in again.

Moving on to Lady Gaga...

"She sells seashells on the seashore!" Louis cracked, referring to the strategically placed shells that covered Gaga's chest for most of the night—even when she took the time backstage to tell 1D not to mind the haters who booed them when their "Best Song Ever" won the moon man for Song of the Summer.

"She was very nice actually, she came and spoke to us for a little while," Liam recalled. "She said, 'Just don't listen to it,' really. At the end of the day, we're just happy we won the award, so we get to take home the moon man, haha!"

When asked about Taylor Swift 's thinly veiled shout-out to the person who inspired "I Knew You Were Trouble" when she accepted Best Female Video, all fingers pointed to... Niall Horan?!

"I don't know, she just started writing songs about me," Niall jested. "She became obsessed with you, didn't she now?" Louis added to the ruse.

Harry, who was seen spending time with Taylor after the show, admitted that they "had words."

"I said, you know, she needs to leave him alone," Harry said, deadpan. "I said, 'Niall is a nice guy.'"

Take a deep, breath, Directioners, but Zayn Malik is now officially off the market!

The One Direction boy-bander is engaged to girlfriend Perrie Edwards, a rep for the group confirmed to E! News Wednesday, Aug. 21.

Perrie, 20, showed off her impressive three-stone diamond ring at Tuesday's This Is Us premiere in London. There, the bride-to-be posed on the red carpet with her group, Little Mix, a four-piece girl band formed on the U.K.'s X Factor—similarly to how 1D came together on the show in 2010.

Perrie's mom, Debbie Duffy, confirmed the exciting news to Real Radio North East's Gary & Lisa Show on Wednesday, saying, "It's true. They got engaged on Sunday [Aug. 18] and it was absolutely lovely."

"He did the traditional asking me and then asking his mom and dad and everything," she added. "It was fabulous—just lovely."

Zayn, 20, briefly dated his future wife back in 2011, but they weren't officially a couple until April 2012. It might be a little while, though, before the twosome actually walk down the aisle.

"I mean, obviously they've got so much to do," Perrie's mom said. "They'll wait 'til 2014, 2015...One Direction are doing so much and Little Mix are the same. They're out of the country most the time doing their promotion for this, that and the other, so it's just unbelievable. But I think they will eventually get together and set the date."
