Missouri Bar Responds To Cease And Desist From Starbucks With Epic Letter And $6 Check

When one of the largest companies in the United States serves you a “cease and desist” letter, there are various ways to approach it.

One way is to give in to any demands in fear of powerful lawyers and millions or billions of dollars, forgetting whatever you were doing that got you in that predicament in the first place.

The other option is to write a mocking apology letter and send a check for an extremely small amount of cash to prove a point.

The Exit Six Pub and Brewery in Cottleville, Missouri, chose the latter, taking on the coffee behemoth that isStarbucks.

So what would turn the two unlikely entities into enemies? Exit Six was serving a beer called “Frappicino,” which bears quite a similar name to Starbucks’ signature coffee drink, the Frappucino.

Starbucks sent Exit Six a cease and desist letter, to which Exit Six replied with this Facebook post on Thursday:

“So quick little story. Last week I received a cease and desist letter from the attorneys at Starbucks. Apparently there was a beer on Untappd that someone named ‘Frappicino.’ 3 people had checked into said beer. 3.

“Starbucks did not like that. So I got a letter. They wanted me to remove the beer and promise never to use their names again. They also wanted my written response and guarantee. Here is their letter. And also my response.”

The response is an epic one, coupled with a $6 check for damages Starbucks may have suffered due to the debacle. It’s awesome seeing people react against ridiculous legal action the right way.

Hypocritical, Much? McDonald’s Tells Its Own Employees To Not Eat Fast Food Because It’s Bad For Them

“McResource Line” — the financial advice site exclusively for McDonald’s employees — has so far only issued the most hypocritical and ignorant contingency tips imaginable.

After advising workers to sell their belongings for quick cash and to get a second job, the site is now recommending that McDonald’s employees lay off fast food because it turns out you’ll probably die much younger than expected if you eat too much of it.

According to CNBC, an image posted on the site labels a McDonald’s meal of a hamburger, fries and a coke as an “unhealthy choice” and condemns eating similar meals because they are “almost always high in calories, fat, sugar and salt.”

So instead of eating fast-food, the site says employees should “eat at places that offer a variety of salads, soups and vegetables.”

The hypocrisy of this advice is obvious considering fast-food is far less expensive than healthier food, which McDonald’s workers have difficulty affording since they get paid so poorly.

When CNBC brought this issue up to the franchise, McDonald’s issued a statement saying the website’s tips “continue to be taken entirely out of context.”

“It is hard to eat a healthy diet when you eat at fast-food restaurants often,” the site says.“Many foods are cooked with a lot of fat, even if they are not trans fats. Many fast-food restaurants do not offer any lower-fat foods. Large portions also make it easy to overeat. And most fast food restaurants do not offer many fresh fruits and vegetables.”

HELLO FRIDAY! THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY

Who's not feeling good when it's friday? NO ONEEEEE!!! The gang decided to celebrate because the prelims and exams are over. We felt like the happiest kids on earth yesterday. We didn't plan things much we just grabbed beers and pizza in the mall then headed to the heart of The Fort. We spent our afternoon at the Turf, BGC. We just had a pizza and beer kind of afternoon. People were around us, construction workers and skateboarders are watching us while we are doing our stuffs. My friend just parked his car outside the parking lot and we're good to go. We ate and drank we had so much fun. Some of us tripped some of us wants to pee but no bathroom and some of us walked hell out of a way twice just to buy ice and stuffs and get cups. It's one of our best days ever. But I know we will have a lot more. Right guys? Sorry for using your faces again

Yes! We're Kantofied! I was convinced to try this cause when I checked its fb account I saw Mikael Daez featuring kanto B for midnight snack.

Kanto Freestyle Breakfast located in Mandaluyong. Its a kind of carenderia but offers a lot of comfort food.

They really offer unique kind of food, but more on breakfast type. For me I can say this is the filipino version of IHOP. Cheaper and better. Yes I am not lying!

We had a dinner out last Wednesday night. My dad introduced something new to us. It is located along C. Raymundo beside yellowcab after Hampton Gardens. The place looks cozy enough that could give a you a fine dining. They're cheaper compared to the others. IT'S MORE FUN IN THE PHILIPPINES

                                    

It's sweet and sour fish. If you're not a meat lover this is the right one for you it would seize your appetite and it can give you a perfect booze.

The perfect combo for the sweet and sour is their chilled calamansi juice.

Fried chicken and it tastes like the chowking chicken same with their chipcharap but my brother's opinion was this one is better.

Spicy and crispy tofu served with fresh garlic on the top. THIS IS PROBABLY THE MUST TRY.

Finally my order, Spicy sez chuan eggplant.
