Orlando Bloom Opens Up About Miranda Kerr Split: "We Love and Cherish Each Other"

If only more Hollywood couples acted like Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr after they split.

"We're a family and we'll always love each other and we're going to be in each other's lives," Bloom told me tonight about their very amicable breakup at The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug premiere.

Don't expect things to take a nasty turn because Bloom and Kerr's first priority is their son Flynn, who turns three next month.

"What [Flynn] reads and knows about when he's a grown up is more important to me than anything," Bloom said tonight. "We both love and cherish each other and then our boy so it's great."

Just this weekend, the three were spotted grabbing lunch together before Bloom headed to his matinee performance of Romeo and Juliet on Saturday.

E! News was the first to report on Oct. 24 that the actor, 36, and the former Victoria's Secret model, 30, had separated.

Bloom and Kerr married in 2010 after about three years together.

It was back when Bloom was just 21 years old that he first auditioned for Lord of the Rings.

"I auditioned for Frodo in fact, but Legolas became the role I ended up playing," said Bloom, who was looking sharp in a black Lanvin suit. "I was totally surprised at the idea of coming back [for the Hobbit movies]. I was thrilled, but I had no idea I'd get back to Legalos. It was a wonderful time."

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is in theaters on Dec. 13.

I’m all for dying your eyebrows to match your hair, but I am a little lost as to what motive the young singer had for doing this.

Lily Allen also as provided photo evidence in which you can barely make out Cyrus’s brows. If it’s not twerking or licking inanimate objects, it’s something about her style. In true Miley fashion, she has delivered and whether we approve of her new look or not, we’re still talking about it. Mission accomplished, Miley. Mission accomplished.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr Split Up

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr are no longer.

Sources tell me the couple has split after three years of marriage.

A rep for Bloom exclusively confirms the breakup. "In a joint statement, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr have announced that they have been amicably separated for the past few months," the rep said. "After six years together, they have recently decided to formalize their separation."

The statement continued, "Despite this being the end of their marriage, they love, support and respect each other as both parents of their son and as family."

The 36-year-old British actor and the 30-year-old Australian Victoria's Secret model began dating in 2007. They were married in July 2010 after announcing their engagment just a month beforehand.

Kerr gave birth to their son, Flynn, on Jan. 6, 2011.

She and Bloom were last photographed together by the paparazzi on Oct. 8. Their last public appearance was at the opening of Romeo and Juliet on Broadway on Sept. 19. Bloom is currently starring in the production with Condola Rashad.

"When I saw Orlando on Broadway in Romeo and Juliet, I was blown away," Kerr said in the November issue of Cosmopolitan. "For someone to be able to learn all that and hold the energy to do it every day, six days a week—I have so much respect for him. We don't run lines though. We keep that very separate. That would be like me asking him to teach me how to catwalk."

Bloom recently put his Hollywood Hills home on the market for $4.5 million. He had been renting it out for $16,500 a month while he and the family were living in NYC.
