Why Richard Sherman Was Called A ‘Thug’ And Justin Bieber Wasn’t

Why Richard Sherman Was Called A ‘Thug’ And Justin Bieber Wasn’t

Richard Sherman might have secured a spot on the Internet’s GIF Hall of Fame with his post-game rant after Sunday’s NFC championship game. However, the commentary surrounding Sherman’s comical outburst has prompted a national discussion about whether or not aspects of our nation’s vernacular are inherently racist.
Given a night to digest Sherman’s epic eruption, countless commentators dissecting the incident came to work Monday with the same noun on their lips, ready to pin it to the elite Seahawks defender: thug.
And pin it to him they did.
According to iQ Media, the word “thug” was uttered 625 times across all markets, more than on any other day in the past three years. By Tuesday, that number climbed to more than 1,500, as sports analysts and news reporters alike sought to package Sherman’s entire identity in four letters.
The shutdown cornerback, who has admittedly stirred up his fair share of controversy since entering the NFL in 2011, exhibited contrition for his actions Sunday, while expressing frustration and anger for repeatedly being described as a thug, a word he equates to the N-word.
“The only reason [being called a thug] bothers me is because it seems like it’s an accepted way of calling somebody the ‘N-word’ nowadays,” said Sherman during a press conference on Wednesday.
“There was a hockey game where they didn’t even play hockey. They just threw the puck aside and started fighting. I saw that and I’m like, ‘Wait, I’m a thug? What’s going on here?’ So I’m really disappointed in being called a thug.”
When one considers the word’s origins, it’s difficult to argue that Sherman is off-base with his analysis.
The term “thug” originates from the Hindi word “ṭhag” and the Sanskrit word “sthaga,” used to describe a “thief” or “rogue,” and it is believed to date back to the mid-14th century. It was coined for well-organized professional assassins and Mafioso-like gangs found throughout India for several centuries.
Call Sherman bombastic, arrogant, or even unlikeable, but the man is no thug – at least not by definition. In fact, he’s about as perfect an antithesis to the word as you’re likely to find.
After graduating as salutatorian from his high school in Compton, California (yes, that Compton), Sherman attended Stanford University, currently ranked the fifth-best overall university in the nation by US News and World Report.
There, he received a degree in communications, returning for a fifth year to get his master’s degree. By the way, he did this all while competing in both football and track and field at one of the country’s foremost programs.
Furthermore, Sherman doesn’t pride himself on his athletic ability, but rather, on his extensive preparation and study of the game:
“I feel like I’m a decent athlete, but my tape study and my meticulous attention to detail are what make me a good ball player,” said Sherman. “A lot goes into it man, a lot more than people think. Some dudes play with pure athleticism; I’m not one of those guys.”
So why, then, has a word that should be reserved for hardened criminals been used to define one of the NFL’s most studious players?
Richard Sherman’s publicly stated abhorrence of Michael Crabtree warrants such a description, while Justin Bieber virtually gets a pass after being arrested for drag racing while under the influence? I haven’t seen any Beliebers tweeting about him with #thug attached.
Shamefully, we must accept that certain words we have embraced as a society are actually racially coded substitutes for those we now consider repugnant.
However, just because the words themselves become unacceptable does not mean that the feelings behind them don’t linger in our minds.
Richard Sherman was labeled a thug simply because he was angry and black. Had Peyton Manning greeted Erin Andrews with the same intensity and tone in his post-game interview, we would have called it “passion.”

Justin Bieber Reunites With Selena Gomez—See the Sweet Pic!

Perhaps Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are giving their relationship another chance in 2014.
Several days after the exes were spotted riding segways, the 19-year-old pop superstar shared a cuddling snapshot with the brunette beauty on his Instagram account.
"Love the way you look at me," the "Boyfriend" singer captioned the gray-tinted photograph, which he added in the wee hours on Saturday, Jan. 4.
The Texas native is hugging the Canadian singer from behind while her chin comfortably rests on his shoulder. She is gazing down at him and is cracking a sweet close-mouthed smile. The Biebs is holding up his phone to capture the moment and is looking into the camera.
This photo comes two days after the on-again, off-again couple reunited for the first time in a long time and were photographed riding segways around The Oaks, fueling speculation that they had rekindled their romance.
Both Selena and Bieber's reps declined to comment on that particular sighting. The couple broke up in November 2012.
J.B. recently revealed that he still has feelings for his ex-girlfriend while stopping by Big Boy's Neighborhood for Los Angeles hip-hip radio station Power 106.
"I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," he told Big Boy on Dec. 18. "‘All That Matters' was written when I was in a great place in my relationship, and at that time, she was all that mattered in my life."
Bieber continued, "[The break up] affected us, especially when we are in front of so many people. It's such a public thing. It's just hard for the both of us. But you know, she's a great woman. I love her till this day."
And judging by this picture, he still loves the way she looks at him.

25 New Year’s Resolutions Every Person Should Actually Make For 2014

25 New Year’s Resolutions Every Person Should Actually Make For 2014
New Year’s Eve is often seen as a time of rebirth, the chance to start anew. We all come up with the regular resolutions for the upcoming year (losing weight, seeing family more often and/or falling in love ), but often our ideas of what should change are too broad. This New Year’s Eve, we should all vow to take a closer look into our lives and make decisions about ourselves then. These are the 25 New Year’s resolutions every person should make:
1.Stop posting negative sh*t about celebrities on social media. Miley Cyrus does not care what you think about her haircut, Justin Bieber does not care what you think of his tattoos and Gwyneth Paltrow couldn’t care less regarding what you think about her diet.
2. Stop resenting yourself for drunk texting your ex.  Sure, its a little embarrassing, but at least you’re addressing your feelings. Not that you should aim to drink an entire bottle of rum then see what happens, but… roll with the punches.
3. Leave the country. If you don’t have money, look into doing charity work abroad. Some programs will sponsor you.
4. If you hate your job, quit your job. Repeat after me: THE MONEY IS NOT WORTH IT. Food and shelter are clutch though, so make sure you have another job lined up.
5. Stop beating yourself up for skipping the gym on days you truly didn’t have time. But also, stop skipping the gym on days you had plenty of time to go.
6. Make up — not to be confused with make out — with an ex.
7. Rid yourself of enemies. Apologize for what you did wrong and forgive those who have wronged you.
8. Rid yourself of “frenemies.” Don’t spend 2014 surrounded by people you secretly despise.
9. If you think somebody is cute, say “hi” and introduce yourself. Every relationship you have ever had started with a greeting.
10. Leave your phone number for someone. Worst-case scenario: you won’t get a call and maybe you’ll feel a tiny bit embarrassed. Regardless of the outcome, you put yourself out there and probably made the other person’s day.
11. Stop caring about how many people “like” your Instagram photos. If you like the photo enough to post it, what else matters? Social media anxiety is a waste of time.
12. Cross something off your bucket list. Sky dive, bungee jump, scuba dive, etc. Don’t make excuses as to why you can’t accomplish something, and check out
13. Stop hating yourself for eating dessert. A piece of birthday cake is a right, not a privilege.
14. Keep a journal. It doesn’t have to be something you use daily, but documenting your experiences is incredibly important. You’ll appreciate it later.
15. Strengthen relationships with family members. Blood is thicker than water.
16. Help strangers. “Pay it forward,” do good things for the world — and don’t post a Facebook status about it.
17. Conquer a fear. Personally, I fear Bikram yoga.
18. Turn off your smartphone at dinner.
19. Don’t check your Twitter feed when you’re with friends.
20. Try a fashion trend you never thought you could pull off. And, do it with confidence. Floppy hats, snap backs, Harem pants; you can do it!
21. Double-text without fear. THOU SHALL NOT BE IGNORED!
22. Shop locally, eat locally and recognize where your money is going. Consumers control the economy, so visit the mom-and-pop coffee shop down the street instead of Starbucks. Shop at boutiques rather than chains (they aren’t all expensive — trust me). Try Etsy.com instead of retail conglomerates.
23. Cry. When you’re happy and when you’re sad; embrace your emotions as they come.
24. Stop being so shallow. Next time you find yourself judging someone based on his or her appearance, imagine the person standing in front of you saying, “I’m beautiful.” You’ll start to believe it.
25. If you want someone to commit to you, vocalize it. Don’t settle for being someone’s “f*ck buddy” if that isn’t what you want. “Together” is the waiting period between “talking” and “dating”; purgatory shouldn’t last forever.

Justin Bieber on Ex-Girlfriend Selena Gomez: "I Love Her Till This Day"—Watch Now!

Things are about to get real emotional, you guys.
It's been a while since null and null called it quits, but it still hurts (it was supposed to be J.B. + S.G. 4eva!). And those who were especially saddened by the Hollywood couple's breakup may find themselves close to shedding a tear after hearing what Biebs had to say about it all.
The 19-year-old pop star stopped by Big Boy's Neighborhood for Power 106, and while promoting his new music on the Los Angeles hip-hip radio station, Bieber confessed that he's still in love with Selena.
"I wrote the best music once my heart was broken," he told Big Boy.
Awwww. But don't get your hopes up just yet. Justin added, "I think we're going to be the greatest of friends. Right now we're taking a little time and not talking."
Justin Bieber, TwitterTwitter
Bieber's "All That Matters" track has been hitting the airwaves recently. Some of the lyrics from his Gomez-inspired single include, "You're all that matters to me/ Ain't worried about nobody else/ If it ain't you, I ain't myself/ You make me complete."
Justin didn't spend his entire interview reminiscing on what once was. The young celeb made sure to get in a good prank for fans.
In a short video clip, the Biebs said, "Um, I'm actually retiring, man." Although he said it with a straight face, we have a feeling the comment was said in fun and Bieber isn't really quitting music.
His reps had no comment, but a source told E! News, "Of course it's not true."
Whew.

Is Justin Bieber About To Replace Paul Walker In ‘The Fast And The Furious 7′?

Is Justin Bieber About To Replace Paul Walker In ‘The Fast And The Furious 7′?
Director of “The Fast And The Furious,” James Wan, has no intention of abandoning the seventh installment despite the death of the films’ leading man. At this point, there are no details about how the “Fast and Furious” series will conclude, but it is certainly going to require major re-writes.
The newest RUMOR circulating the web is that Justin Bieber will be put in the latest of the “Fast And Furious” films. Jesus Christ, this better not be true or F&F fans will most likely boycott the film. It’s also unclear if Bieber would replace PaulWalker‘s character, Brian O’Connor, or if something else would worked out entirely.
Carbuzz is telling us that, “One thing is clear though, Bieber has some important supporters, with Ludacris having already voiced his approval of the idea of putting the 19-year-old Canadian in the film.”
This is definitely going to stir up some major controversy. There’s no way members of Paul Walker’s family or Vin Diesel are going to let this decision be made without their involvement. As of now, this is a just a rumor, but it’s not too surprising that Universal is shopping for options.
As more unfolds, we will be sure to update you!

Want To Party With Bieber? You Have To Sign A No Photos Clause Or Face $3 Million Fine

Want To Party With Bieber? You Have To Sign A No Photos Clause Or Face $3 Million Fine
ENTERTAINMENT •  •
Apparently this past Friday, Justin Bieber threw a Great Gatsby-themed party. This event was free of charge for guests, but if they even peeped a word or uploaded anything to social media of what was going down, they would be charged a casual $3 million.
Party goers and staff had to sign a confidentiality agreement that TMZ has somehow gotten their hands on. Doesn’t this sound like an inherent breach of confidence? Yes? No? Maybe so.
“The document provides… anyone who violates the confidentiality agreement will automatically be on the hook for $3 mil … no trial, no arguing, just pay up.“People who worked the party were also required to sign the document.“For some reason, the Biebs reduced the penalty … by a lot. TMZ obtained a similar confidentiality agreement he made people sign for a prior shindig, and the penalty clause was $5 million.”
Is any party going to be THAT fun where you require guests to sign a confidentiality agreement? Well, I guess based on recent allegations pertaining to a Brazilian prostitute the Biebs is just protecting his own ass.

Justin Bieber Releases Sexed-Up New Song "PYD" Featuring R. Kelly—Listen Now

Justin BieberInstagram
Another Monday, another Justin Bieber tune.
In keeping with his promise to release a new single every Monday for 10 weeks, the pop star has just unveiled "PYD," his seventh song in as many weeks.
Upon listening to this collaborative effort with R. Kelly, we quickly learn that "PYD" stands for "Put You Down." And, according to the lyrics, there's apparently no shortage of places to do just that.
"From the door to the wall/Coffee table, girl get ready/I'm gonna put you down/All the way down/From the stove to the counter top, dining room table, are you ready?/I'm gonna put you down," Bieber sings.
Bieber informed fans last Wednesday, Nov. 13, that he had joined forces with R. Kelly when he tweeted "next week" along with a link to a Vibe article revealing the collaboration.
"I just did a song [with him]," R. Kelly told the magazine. "[Justin] just called me to do a song and it's hot. He wanted to do some R&B stuff so we got together and did it."
"PYD" follows six previous tracks released by Bieber over the course of the last couple of months—"All Bad," "Bad Day," "Hold Tight," "All That Matters," "Heartbreaker" and "Recovery."
Take a listen and let us know what you think.

JUSTIN BIEBER STEPS OUT IN LOS ANGELES DURING BREAK FROM "BELIEVE" TOUR

Justin Bieber FameFlynet, Inc

Following the eventful South American leg of his "Believe" tour, Justin Bieber took some time to relax in the States.
The Biebs hit the streets of West Hollywood, Calif. with friends Saturday, getting some retail therapy in at the shops in the neighborhood.
Although he was off tour duties for the moment, the "Boyfriend" crooner made sure to take some photos with a couple of young female fans who approached him on the way back to his car.
And the singer could certainly use a mellow day.

The latest sighting of Bieber comes hours after the 19-year-old entertainer's neighbors called police to his Calabasas home for loud music that was playing during a party in the wee hours of Saturday morning.
Prior to that, he angered his Argentinean fans when a video surfaced which showed him sweeping the country's flag offstage Nov. 9.
Bieber seems to still be in good spirits in spite of those incidences, though.
In addition to his day of shopping, he's been busy promoting the upcoming release of his flick "Believe," which hits theaters Christmas day.
His "Believe" tour picks up again Monday in Mexico City.

Justin Bieber's Brazilian Girl Speaks Out About Sexy Night With the Singer

Justin Bieber, Tatiana Neves
Youtube
Justin Bieber's Brazilian gal-pal Tatiana Neves Barbosa may have initially been "very upset" after the sleeping video she filmed of the singer went viral, but she now seems to be enjoying life in the spotlight.
In a new interview with Globo TV's Fantastico program, the 26-year-old bodybuilder and part-time actress opens up about her sexy night with the singer, 15 seconds of which has been documented in a viral YouTube clip which was uploaded to the website on Wednesday, Nov. 6, and has since received nearly 35 million views.
Barbosa—a part-time go-go dancer who has appeared as an extra in two Brazilian telenovelas—would not divulge any intimate details, but certainly hinted at a hookup.

"What do you think, if I was sleeping in the bedroom, just me and him?" she coyly replied when asked whether the pair had kissed.
The Brazilian brunette, who is known by her friends as Tati, also admitted to sharing the same bed as Bieber although she would not reveal whether the two slept together.
After the video surfaced, a source close to Bieber told E! News he opted to rent a house outside of town because security became an issue at the hotel he had been staying at in Brazil. Once there, he hosted a small party, and Tatiana was "was one of the people that was invited by one of the guests."
However, Barbosa claims she was personally invited to the fete by the Biebs himself, telling Fantastico:
"He rang me and invited me, asked if I wanted to go to his house for a party," she said.
And, when asked if she saw any other girls arrive at the property, she replied, "No. I'd already gone into the bedroom with him."
Barbosa also alleged that she filmed the clip the morning after the duo's evening together.
"I was sleeping, and woke up," she said. "He was sleeping and I was speaking with a girlfriend."
Bieber's reps could not be reached for comment when asked about Tatiana's claims.
Barbosa's interview is the latest bad news for the Biebs, who has been busy making headlines for his eyebrow-raising behavior in South America as of late.
He was officially charged with vandalism on Friday, Nov. 8, following a spray-painting graffiti session he recently had in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and he was reportedly kicked out of his hotel room in Argentina on Saturday due to rowdy Beliebers causing a ruckus outside.
And Justin even came down with food poisoning Sunday ahead of his Buenos Aires concert, but luckily, he was able to still take the stage.

Justin Bieber Kicked Out of Hotel in Argentina: Report

Justin Bieber©2013 RAMEY PHOTO
Justin Bieber is keeping his head up in spite of a particularly crazy week.
After reportedly getting kicked out of his hotel room in Argentina Saturday due to rowdy Beliebers causing a ruckus outside, the superstar singer took to Twitter to address his fans and still show love for the South American country.
"to all my fans at the hotel. thank u. i love u. but please calm down and respect the police. we dont want anyone gettting hurt," he tweeted Saturday, adding, "im at the stadium now. come here. Argentina it is about to be a great night. te amo.#BelieveTour Argentina Day 2."
"Argentina is crazy," he continued. "i love it."
Justin Bieber, Instagram, GraffitiInstagram
According to TMZ, officials at the Hotel Faena got fed up after fans camping outside reportedly destroyed hotel property, even tearing down police barricades.
Hotel Faena reps told E! News Bieber is no longer staying at the hotel, but wouldn't confirm whether or not they kicked him out.
Speaking of crazy incidences, news of Bieber's hotel trouble comes just a day after he was charged with vandalism for spray-painting graffiti in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Prior to that, he was filmed sleeping in bed by a 26-year-old Brazilian woman--and in less than 24 hours the video went viral.
Justin Bieber, sleepingYoutube
Leaked video aside, the "Boyfriend crooner" did have a bit of luck when it came down to the spray painting incident.  Rather than head to jail, the Biebs won't be arrested and will pay a fine instead.
In the midst of all that drama, Bieber is pressing on with the South American portion of his "Believe" world tour, performing today and Sunday in Buenos Aires and then in Santiago, Chile Tuesday before he heads to Mexico City.

Selena Gomez Pulls a Jennifer Aniston, Rocks a Bob Haircut and Sexy Lingerie—See the Pics!

Selena Gomez, Flaunt MagazineAmanda de Cadenet/Flaunt Magazine
Short hair, don't care seems to be Hollywood's latest motto.
On the heels of Jennifer Aniston and Jennifer Lawrence's latest hair transformations, with both ladies recently unveiling dramatically different shorter styles, Selena Gomez has now ditched her signature long locks in favor of a dark bob and bangs in the latest issue of Flaunt magazine.
While the edgy new 'do appears to be a wig for the photo shoot, the short hairstyle certainly suits the sassy singer who wears smoky eye makeup and looks sexy as ever as she shows off her sultry side in the superhot shots.

In one pic, the "Come & Get It" singer wears a lacy lingerie bra top and matching skirt while lying in bed with a hunky shirtless male, gazing at the camera with her hair unkempt.

In another, she wears a sexy red skirt and fitted black tank top while standing in a dimly lit hallway as she softly touches her face with her right hand.

Inside the mag, the brunette beauty also opened up about her infamous feud with Lorde after the 17-year-old "Royals" singer slammed the Selena's hit tune "Come & Get It" for its lyrical content.
"I'm a feminist and the theme of her song is, ‘'When you're ready, come and get it from me,'" Lorde initially said. "I'm sick of women being portrayed this way."
"That's not feminism," Gomez tells Flaunt of Lorde's remarks. "[Lorde is] not supporting other women. That's my honest opinion, that's what I would say to her if I saw her."
And despite the criticism, the pop star says she's actually a fan of the young singer-songwriter:
Selena Gomez, Flaunt MagazineAmanda de Cadenet/Flaunt Magazine
"I actually covered her song in all of my shows that I've done so far. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue that."
But the former Disney star has bigger things on her mind as she continues to forge forward with her successful career, and, when asked where she hopes to be at 26, the 21-year-old beauty reveals, "I hope that I've left a bigger impact."
As for a 10-year plan?
"Oh, God. I don't know," she says. "I hope that I'm really happy by 30."

Selena Gomez Says She's Single and Having the "Best Year" Ever

Selena GomezJeffrey Mayer/WireImage
Unlike her troublemaking ex-boyfriend Justin BieberSelena Gomez says she's having the "best year" of her life. The pop princess hit up the Flaunt magazine party at Hakkasan in Beverly Hills on Thursday, Nov. 7, where she spoke to E! News about her Stars Dancetour and being single on the road.
"It's good. I'm having fun," said the singer, who turned heads in a LBD by Cushnie Et Ochs. "This has been the best year for me: I just turned 21, my record, the tour. I have a really good thing going."
Asked if she has time to date, Gomez laughed and replied, "No!"
Gomez kicked off her Stars Dance tour Aug. 14 in Vancouver and will continue to travel the globe until Jan. 21, 2014, when she wraps up her concert series in Nagoya, Japan. Before then, however, she'll be heading home for Thanksgiving to perform during the Dallas Cowboys' halftime show. The team will play the Oakland Raiders at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
"I'm from Dallas, so it's even scarier, but it's going to be great," Gomez said. Luckily, the "Birthday" singer won't be missing out on family traditions. "I'm going to have all the food packed up from home and actually at the venue so I get to have a home cooked meal while I'm there," she told E! News.

Justin Bieber's Mystery Girl From Sleeping Video: What We Know About Tatiana Neves Barbosa

Justin Bieber, Tatiana Neves BarbosaYotube
It seems as if everybody is talking about the Brazilian brunette who filmed Justin Bieber sleeping, and now, E! News has identified the mystery girl as Tatiana Neves Barbosa. The 26-year-old bodybuilder and part-time actress taped the 19-year-old pop star snoozing, and in less than 24 hours, the video went viral.
The grainy 15-second recording has been viewed more than 4.3 million times on YouTube, and it's received more than 7,700 comments. Bieber's rep has not responded to requests for comment.
A source tells E! News that Barbosa—who goes by Tati—"is very upset" that the video has made its way to YouTube.
"She does not know what to do," the source explains. "She sent the video to a friend and did not realize it would be put online." Bieber, meanwhile, has yet to address the video via his various social media accounts.

Barbosa—a part-time go-go dancer who has appeared as an extra in two Brazilian telenovelas—has reportedly hired a lawyer to deal with the situation. "She is trying to protect herself as she is being bombarded now that the video is out," the source says of Barbosa, who also happened to win the 2012 Miss Bikini Wellness pageant.
A source close to Bieber says he had to rent a house outside of town because security became an issue at the hotel he had been staying at in Brazil. Once there, he hosted a small party. "He knew some of the people there," the source said. "This was one of the people that was invited by one of the guests."
Bieber is reportedly unhappy about the video being taken and surfacing online. "We've crossed the line from absurdly irritating to highly disconcerting," the source explained.

This isn't the first time fans have seen Bieber in bed. On Saturday, Oct. 26, rapper Lil Za shared an Instagram picture of himself cuddling with the "Bad Day" singer and fellow hip-hop musician LilTwist. Given their close friendship, however, we can't imagine that Biebs was too miffed.
Bieber arrived in Brazil late last week to perform in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. His next Believeconcert is in Córdoba, Argentina, on Friday, Nov. 8. During his trek around the globe, the Canadian crooner has also been releasing songs every Monday at midnight. Thus far, he's dropped five tracks: "Hold Tight," "All That Matters," "Heartbreaker," "Recovery" and "Bad Day."

Justin Bieber Storms Off Stage After Being Hit by a Bottle in Brazil, Releases New Song "Bad Day"

Justin Bieber took a hit on Saturday, Nov. 2. While performing his hit song "Boyfriend" at Arena Anhembi in São Paulo, Brazil, the pop star was pelted in the hand with a water bottle. The incident caused Bieber to accidentally drop his mic and storm off stage.
He did not appear to be seriously injured. In fact, Bieber neglected to mention the episode after the show ended. Instead, the 19-year-old thanked his fans for being such a good audience. "We had a good time tonight. brazil goes hard," he tweeted. "u all were loud tonight. thanks for the love. it's all love. all the time. Obrigado Brazil! On to the next one. #BelieveTour again tomorrow."
The next night, Bieber took his show to Praça da Apoteose in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "That was crazy!! Thank u rio!! Thank u brazil! Sold out stadium tonight! Amazing crowd. Hyped. Blessed. Thank u," he tweeted after the concert.
At midnight, Bieber released yet another new song. "Bad Day" is the fifth track he's shared via his #MusicMondays campaign, following "Hold Tight," "All That Matters," "Heartbreaker" and "Recovery." To celebrate its release, he uploaded an Instagram video that showed him singing the song a capella.
Hopefully Bieber's bad days are behind him!

Justin Bieber, Graffiti Artist: Pop Star Shares Pics of His "New Hobby"

Banksy better watch out, because Justin  Bieber's joined the graffiti game!
On Thursday, Oct. 31, the 19-year-old pop star Instagrammed pictures of his art tagged on buildings. The Biebs himself could be seen practicing his "street art" (aka his "new hobby") wearing sneakers, saggy pants, a hoodie and a baseball cap.
In one picture, Justin is shown tagging "RIP PAC" on a concrete wall. It is unclear whether he was memorializing Tupac Shakur, the pet hamster he named in the late rapper's honor, or both.
The "Believe" singer's partner in crime for the evening was R&B singer Khalil. The former Def Jam artist Instagrammed a picture of "Me & Bizzle trying something new" which, amusingly, shows a cop car—flashing lights on—just around the corner.
Bad boys, bad boys—whatcha gonna do? Well, J.B.'s got a show in Ecuador tonight, so, probably that. Of course, he hasn't just been tagging streets and selling out stadiums in South America—he's been giving back, too.
On Sunday, Oct. 27, he volunteered in an impoverished area of Guatemala City by helping to build a school with Pencils of Promise, a nonprofit run by Scooter Braun's brother, Adam. He gave his "little friend Ricardo" his sunglasses and Instagrammed a video of himself and several kids cheering together.
"blessed to see the world," he tweeted afterwards. "going to do something positive with the gift. wake up each morning and say what u appreciate. helps get u right."
Such wise words from Justin Bieber, the graffiti artist with a heart of gold!
