Taguig ready to bounce back and fight for BGC, The fort over Makati City
It was erroneous.
This was how the city government of Taguig described the Court of Appeals (CA) decision, which ruled that Fort Bonifacio actually belongs to Makati City.
The Office of Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano continues to insist that the 729-hectare property is under the jurisdiction of Taguig City.
“The CA decision, with due respect, is erroneous,” Cayetano said.
Meanwhile, Taguig City administrator and lawyer Joel Montales vowed to appeal the CA ruling.
“We will fight to make sure that the disputed land remains with Taguig. We are confident that we will ultimately win this fight,” Montales said.
The Taguig City officials issued the statement after Makati City government score in a two-decade battle for the jurisdiction over Fort Bonifacio.
In a July 15 ruling released on Monday, CA said Fort Bonifacio belongs to Makati because “some of Taguig's evidence is inadmissible.”
According to the ruling, Presidential Proclamation Nos. 2475 and 518 that were issued during the Marcos and Cory Aquino administrations did not ‘alter’ boundaries in Metro Manila.
The high court explained it only confirmed that Fort Bonifacio area is under the jurisdiction of Makati."

I'd grab the chance to blog about this hot issue because I am a student studying at the fort. My school uses Taguig City on their address. Who would throw the fort away? For me The fort is really a nice and safe place especially to students like us. Unlike manila or ubelt many scary people are staying in there. Robbery incidents happens everyday even there's a lot of police loitering.
In The Fort there's a lot of opportunity for you. Big condominiums and huge malls were built there like The Serendra with several buildings which are connected my their bridges, South of Market that has two building namely south and north of market, F1 Hotel, NBC Tent were big events always happens, W street building, The Fort Strip that has a lot of restaurant and bars like good times, keg, Burger avenue and Fitness First, SM Aura the most luxurious megamall that was built in the Philippines, Market Market and a lot more. Famous international restaurants and dining were also built there. People from north travelling just to eat at IHOP or try Jamba Juice. Business men are really focused in the fort and south areas nowadays. There are on going projects in heart of BGC and some of them are "Shangri-La The Fort, Robinson's Luxuria and more.
Besides the only taguig area in The fort is the Diego silang part near C5. The rest was surrounded by Makati.
