Banksy “Better Out Than In” Day 14 – ‘Gladiator Wisdom’

Banksy brings us another highly ironic piece on day 14 of his ongoing “Better Out Than In” street exhibition in New York City. The quote “What we do in life echoes in Eternity” adorns a wall while a stenciled street cleaner wipes away the word “Eternity.” If that isn’t satirical enough, the quote comes from the film Gladiator. The artist defends this by adding that when people criticize him for using low-brow sources, he is ”just going to use that hostility to make (himself) stronger, not weaker” as said by Kelly Rowland on The X Factor.
