Ladies, your one big wish to have a dinner date with the charismatic PBA player Chris Tiu in a trendy restaurant somewhere in Makati will remain like that – a fantasy.
And for your own peace of mind, forget that desire since the Rain or Shine guard has already relinquished his membership in the exclusive “Bachelors Club” after marrying his long-time girlfriend in a tightly-guarded secret ceremony in Vancouver, Canada last month.
According to an impeccable source, the lucky girl is Tiu’s high school sweetheart.
“She’s the one and only GF of Chris since high school,” said the source, who like Tiu, also graduated at Xavier School in San Juan.
Tiu’s belated wedding party held last Sunday in Makati was also put under wraps and only close family members and friends were invited in the affair.
The source said ROS co-owners Raymond Yu and Terry, along with coach Yeng Guiao, graced the affair.
Ty Tang, Tiu’s long-time buddy since their glory days at Xavier and now a teammate at ROS, was the only player seen in the party.
Though Tiu has yet to produce a sensational game, he remains hugely popular among young lady fans because of his good looks.
And despite his fame and money – Tiu, a member of the original Smart Gilas Pilipinas team, remains as humble as ever – reason why he’s one of the busiest product endorsers in the country.
So despite his new status, Tiu will remain one of the faces of Philippine sports.
