Michael Jordan’s ‘Flu Game’ Sneakers Just Sold For $104,765

Michael Jordan’s ‘Flu Game’ Sneakers Just Sold For $104,765
How much would you pay for a piece of history? Michael Jordan‘s “Flu Game” was probably the greatest signature moment of his legendary career, and now, the sneakers he wore on that fateful night are owned by a man who shelled out $104,765 for them.
According to ESPN, the shoes were sold to the unknown buyer via Grey Flannel Auction. Whenever the Michael Jordan museum is opened, this will no doubt be the centerpiece, as the performance he put on back on June, 11 1997 will be remembered forever.
For those of you who need a quick history refresher, MJ dropped 38 points in game five of the 1997 NBA Finals, despite battling food poisoning from some tainted pizza he had the night before.
While the conspiracy theories suggest that it was an inside job by some crazy Utah Jazz fans, Jordan pulled off the clutch win to catapult his Chicago Bulls to another world championship.
The image of Scottie Pippen carrying Mike off the court after the game was one of the most legendary moments in all of sports, and now, one man owns a piece of that history. I wonder if those joints stink, though!
